A Fond Farewell to Our Parish Nurses

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our parish nurses and thank them for all the years of service to our parish. At this time we will no longer have a parish nurse ministry; due to lack of new nurse participation, this ministry can no longer continue. From Blood pressure screenings, stroke clinics, flu shots, exercise programs, and all the vital health information the nurses have provided through the years, we thank you! It is our hope that one day we could renew this program.

Thank you again to all those dedicated nurses, we love you and we will miss you!

Welcome to Our New Deacon

Polish seminarian Deacon Piotr (pronounced Peter) Kmiecik will journey one more step closer toward his goal of becoming a priest next year for the Diocese of Biloxi, MS. Peter Kmiecik hails from Lindow, which is located in south Poland, very close to Czestochowa, where the famous Pauline Monastery of Jasna Gora is located, which is home of the Black Madonna, a very famous painting and shrine to the Virgin Mary. Deacon Peter is currently studying at SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake. On September 7, 2013 he started his deacon’s assignment in our parish and he will stay with us for the whole academic year. We are so happy to have Deacon Peter among us and we wish him good luck and all the best on his way to the priesthood.
