The cost is $5 per person and $20 per family which makes it a great family night!

For those of you who suffered with us last year with the fuses and the under done pancakes, we have found a solution to that problem! A restaurant is making them for us and we are picking them up just before the dinner! There will still be regular and blueberry as usual!

Last year, the sausage was the best most of us had ever eaten…we will have those same sausages cooked on the grill outside again!

So come and enjoy with us and prepare for Lent by joining in a meal with your parish family!

We also will be doing the Stations of the Cross at 6:30pm on the Fridays in Lent followed by a light soup supper , excluding Good Friday. There is almost always a need for young people to be candle bearers so come and introduce your children to this wonderful Catholic Tradition this Lent.

Each year, many of us from the parish take the time to pause and listen for God in the serene beauty of Manresa Jesuit Retreat House in Bloomfield Hills. We arrive on Friday evening for a good meal and settle in for the session, or perhaps just some time to be alone with God. By Sunday afternoon, we have found not only rest, but often a whole new insight into who God is or, if we are blessed, who we truly are. Join us this year.

We are asked to give our prayerful and financial support to the missions.

The missionary assigned to us is a Pallottine Father. His name is Fr. Derry Murphy. He has been recently elected the Provincial of the Irish Province of the Pallottine Fathers. He has been all over the world including East Africa as the director of the Union of the Catholic Apostolate based in Rome. The Pallottine Fathers have served our Archdiocese for many years. They have a center in Wyandotte and from there have assisted many parishes in the Metropolitan Detroit area.

The missionary appeal will be next weekend, July 30-31. A special envelope for the missions is attached to this paper. I encourage you to use it and support the missionary work of the Church.

We are excited to announce the launch of the new school website on July 4, 2011.

The goals of the website are:

  • Share school information in a helpful and easy to access format
  • Facilitate communications between the school, the parish, parents and other stakeholders
  • Help to market the school to current and prospective parents and students
  • Represent the school in a positive manner to all website visitors
