Msgr. A.X.M. Sharpe Knights of Columbus Council is sponsoring a program called Consecration to the Holy Family at Our Lady of Refuge Church at the 11:30am Mass on June 2.
Knights will be available after Masses on May 11-12, 18-19, and 25-26 handing out brochures and signing up those interested in this program which is a way to strengthen families and revitalize our parish. We are inviting each family in the parish to consecrate themselves to the Holy Family and to devote themselves to the ideal model of familial love set by Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Fr. Jason Brooks will provide inspiration for the consecration at his May 21 Awaken evening. More details will be provided leading up to June 2 consecration in bulletin articles and handouts.
How to prepare for a Consecration to the Holy Family
Preparation for a Consecration to the Holy Family involves deciding that you are not only dedicating your family to the Holy Family’s intercession but also acknowledging that your family is sacred. The decision to consecrate your family needs to be intentional and a process through which you completely surrender your family to God through the Holy Family. You are accepting the truth that salvation history was changed forever by a family and that through your domestic church, you are called to exemplify their example.
