I wanted use this week’s article to remind and invite you to some events happening next summer, so you can pray about attending, plan, and prepare. The National Eucharistic Congress will be held from July 17-21 in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Lucas Oil Stadium. This event is the first Eucharistic Congress to be held in 83 years.
“The whole Congress will be an experience of prayer: a liturgical act offering the Catholic Church—those in attendance in Indianapolis as well as across the country—to the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit. This reconsecration will result in a massive outpouring of grace and renewed missionary sending as participants are moved to share the Eucharistic love of the Lord “for the life of the world” (John 6:51). (Excerpt from the NEC website)
This event will include approximately 80,000 Catholic faithful, nationally and globally renowned speakers such as Fr. Mike Schmitz, Chris Stefanick, and Sr. Miriam James Heidland. During the course of this event we will worship, celebrate mass, attend break-out sessions, and experience the beauty of Adoration on a level not seen since 1940. Another conference available next summer is the Power and Purpose Conference at Franciscan University of Steubenville. Being held the weekend of June 14-16, this conference includes praise and worship sessions and nationally respected speakers all while enjoying the beauty of the Ohio Valley near the West Virginia border (https://steubenvilleconferences.com/adult/)
Also, in June, Encounter Ministries will be hosting the Encounter Conference at the Glass City Center in Toledo, Oh. from June 26-28. This powerful conference also provides an amazing opportunity to enjoy praise and worship and incredible speakers only an hour or so from your driveway. (https://encounterministries.us/conference/)
Saying yes to God and attending events like these (my wife and I have attended both the Power and Purpose Conference and the Encounter Conference multiple times) have had such a profound impact on my relationship with Jesus and have been some of the most enjoyable and fun times Michele and I have had together. Please prayerfully consider these events and God Bless!
