Thanksgiving Day Mass. On Thursday of this week we celebrate Thanksgiving Day and I invite your participation at the celebration of the 9:00 am Mass when as a parish we give thanks. Amidst the many rituals we have in our society for thanksgiving day we need to take time to thank God for the many blessings we have received.
Annual Parish Report. In this week’s bulletin you will find a summary report of the finances and general statistical information for the parish. The report covers the fiscal year from July 1, 2022 – June 30,2023. While I am not familiar with some of the detail of the report, it stands as an expression of the generosity of the people of the Parish and an expression of the faith life of the parish. Thank you so all who are so generous and give of their time, talent and treasure.
Parish Financial Report 2022 to 2023 Fiscal Year
Thank you. I want to thank Michael Blanek and Phil Mansour for helping to get the railings into the sanctuary installed. We had previously planned on getting new railings but with the long delays in obtaining materials and fabrication we moved to “Plan B” which was to reinstall the railings that had been in the church some years ago and were taken out when the new sanctuary floor was installed. A number of our parishioners have had to withdraw from liturgical ministries because of their inability to handle the steps. Churches built today would be required to have ramps and railings. Their presence is really a matter of safety for some. Thank you.
Good wishes and blessings to all,
Bishop Walter A Hurley
